Online Booking Interface Log In process changed –

1) The wording of the Log In dialog from “”Your email address has been recognized and it does have a password. Can you please enter it. If you can’t remember your password click here to recover it.”” to “”Your email address has been recognized. Please enter your password or click here to recover it.””.

2) The log in dialog will no longer close when someone clicks the recover password option so when the recover password dialog has been closed the log in dialog is still waiting for them.

3) If they click “”Cancel”” to close out of the Log In dialog it will then clear the Email Address so the “”change”” event will fire once they enter it again.

 

 

New Email Wildcards added :  Two new wildcards for Emails or custom reports have now been created.

a) Client_ID

b) Rez_Unit_Long_Name

 

 

Payment Gateway Manger – You can now click on a cell in the Event dialog to see the full result in another dialog.

 

Payment Gateway Manager – A Name column which contains the Payment Gateway Name for businesses dealing with transactions from multiple payment gateways.

Shopping Cart – When inventory is lost in the middle of the process then you go to confirm the shopping cart when inventory doesn’t exist any longer. I have added logic to clear the shopping cart and when the dialog is closed it will refresh the page. I also added the same functionality to the normal reservation process.

 

SiteMinder – Added additional layers to attempt to get a country when downloading reservations.

Business Setup – RXC 10 Daylight Saving – I have added a “British Columbia, Canada & Sydney Australia” lookup table which contains all of the dates that go into daylight savings for those regions. If this is selected the RXC 10 time zone will be adjusted based on this. If not selected it will not do the additional adjustment. You can view all of the dates by clicking on the “…”.

Payment Reference – The Payment Reference Number will now be appended to the Deposit or Security Deposit payment label if entered.

 

 

Bug Fix: When making a online group reservation and the business has security deposits setup that have the flag on to take the security deposit online. It does not allocate the payment correctly and in some cases it will crash attempting to pay off a reservation with too much money.

 

Bug Fix: The act of loading or canceling a pencil-in/service booking was creating an account/invoice on a pencil-in. So 2 people accessing the same pencil-in on the grid at the same time could cause that pencil-in to have 2 rez account. We are no longer creating accounts/invoices when a pencil-in is loaded or canceled so there should be no way to create 2 accounts.

 

Bug Fix: Product Group Setup – Added validation so you can no longer create 2 product groups to have the same label.

 

Bug Fix: Business Phone # is was not being displayed when someone is trying to make a cancellation request through the online booking interface

Bug Fix –  When doing a refund through processor and it completes succesfully it is not properly setting the “Resolved” flag on the payment gateway record so it shows up in the unresolved area in the Payment Gateway Manager.

 

Bug Fix: There is an issue doing a POS of taxes. Getting an error that at least 1 charge must be done

 

Bug Fix: Reservation statement – tentative detail report is not picking up the deposit converted transactions

 

Bug Fix: A POS could be added to a reservation that is checked-out. This ability has been removed

 

Bug Fix: Date stamp has been added to comments when they are first created. IE: Online booking pages when a client enters some comments

 

Bug Fix: Payment Express – Refund Through Gateway – When the amount didn’t use up 2 decimal places such as 100.5 the process failed and they received an “INVALID_AMOUNT” error. Only amounts that were using 2 decimal places would work such as 100.55.

 Online Booking Pages – Pay with AR Transfer –  Users can now allow their clients to settle charges to their accounts.  This is associated with either reservations or POS charges.   This feature must be enabled on the member type level if this functionality is being provided to the customers

 

 

POS Sale – The ability to add zero-dollar charges to be applied to the customer’s Guest Folio or Account Receivable has been added.  This will allow users to indicate that a customer received the service/product even if there is no charge attributed to it.

 

 

Product Setup – Unique product codes can be saved per product. POS product code search now uses product code to find products.

 

 

 

Content Setup – The Content Editor allows setup of static custom text Content that will display on the Confirmation Panel of the Online Booking Page and also Online Product Sales Transactions.
This enables you to direct guests to another web page, to sell additional services for example ours, annual passes, day passes or further information. The user can then assign content to different areas of the program so that the system knows what to display using the Content Assignment.

Bug Fixes

Bug Fix – Pencil-Ins –  When Auto Assign Unit on Grid is turned on being unable to create an unlocked pencil-in has been fixed

 

Bug Fix – When advanced taxes are being used the percentage based Rez Fee is not working correctly has been fixed.

 

Bug Fix –  V3 was able to cancel a reservation leaving a balance. Some restrictions have been added to the cancellation process so it will fail if it was a wholesaler and invoices existed at the reservation. A reservation change history record has been added at the group level of a channel reservation indicating that the cancellation was attempted if it failed.

 

Bug Fix – When manually overriding a tax on a reservation, the tax can now be applied even if the rate group is NOT taxable

 

Bug Fix – Bulk Cancellations – When selecting No Refund when deposits have been made on any reservation other than the first reservation this causes reservations to be cancelled with a balance even though the total of the group reservations is 0. We are now handling extra “Penalties” by each reservation.

 

Bug Fix – Mobile devices for map based businesses with unit or unit type images were not displaying correctly.

 

Bug Fix – When using the Vault it would crash when attempting to view a token from the Edit/View Token dialog.

URL Export – A new Online Booking URL Export panel is now available for anyone utilizing the Online Booking Interface.  This panel will allow properties to export their URL addresses for each Unit Type to be displayed on the web. These “Unit Type” specific URLs will allow your webmaster to update your existing (or now add additional buttons) which would allow a guest to go directly to make a reservation for one specific Unit Type. We have introduced a new layout for these single Unit Type displays through the Online Booking Interface.

 

 

 

Payment Gateway Manager – A new panel is now available. This panel will allow users to better manage any unresolved payments through the payment processor. This panel provides users with the data being returned from the processor which is not always visible from the console. The user can filter the search by numerous criteria for a refined search. This allows a user to better determine the outcome of a payment when not easily indicated whether associated with a reservation or not due to numerous reasons. By default, the filter will be on unresolved, so to display those scenarios where the process was not completed.

Import / Export Utility – Full Client List Export – The ability to export your full client list is now available.  To accomplish, please contact DigitalRez to have this provided. This would be provided in a *.csv file format which can be opened in a spreadsheet program (for example Microsoft Excel).

 

Guest Folio – Cancel Rez Button – The extra validation(click) to verify if the user wants to cancel this reservation has been removed and goes straight to the Cancel form. A check will also be done when the Cancel Rez button is clicked to verify if there are any outstanding security deposits, thus saving time from determining after the reservation is attempted to be canceled.

Bug Fix: Type Capacity is filtering out Units based on the Decommissioned flag which is wrong. Availability does NOT use the Decommissioned flag; Only the Open/Close dates on the Unit.

Bug Fix: When changing the discount when a “Rez Fee” is getting recalculated, if you change the discount multiple times it crashes as the discounts allowed flag is not being set on the product correctly.

Bug Fix: When making more than one change causing the Rez Fee to be calculated more than once and taxes are involved it does not recalculate properly.

Bug Fix: Unit/Unit Type Setup – If the Type or Unit is set to decommissioned and the close_date > today’s date or you try and set it to > today’s date the system will now not allow that to happen. It will reset to the prior date

Bug Fix – When entering too large a label in the property setup it crashes generating the Owner Rev Share commission policy.

Bug Fix: The SAAS Invoice Sale Print selector was not loading the invoice report. This has now been rectified.

AWS is currently experiencing increased error rates within their popular North Virginia datacenter, which hosts ~ 70% of the web. We were monitoring the situation. Mobile – New online mobile interfaces are now here for RezExpert.  Have your mobile friendly interface available for all clients accessing the RezExpert system through a mobile device.   The system will automatically detect that the user is logging in on a mobile device and redirect to the mobile friendly interface.    Users when on the mobile interface will be given an option to call the business from the device.

 

 

 

Theme Setup – The wording has been changed from “RezRobot Settings” to “Online Booking Page”.

 

Customer Relation Management –  Once a client has been created in the system, an online account is also automatically available for this client.  The feature provides the ability to communicate between client and business through the Tasks/Notes system.  These messages are not linked to any specific reservation but just a portal for communication.  This is linked to the Tasks/Notes module within the system.  This is now tied into the “Send Message” ability from the online mobile admin page. You can now receive/send messages to a client via email. The Tasks & Notes and Accept Messages from Client within the Online tab options at the business level must be turned on for this functionality to be enabled.

Quickbooks Online Export: The ability to export a QuickBooks Online Journal Entry is now available.

 

New Report Feature: Security deposit owed amount is being added to the guest folio balance statements now, along with a balance due row that displays the grand total owed.

 

New Report Feature: Configured security deposit policies with products assigned to the security deposit product group are now listing in the report named Departure Report with Bonds – By Client Name in profile.

 

Province / State – Data Validation – When the new Business level “State / Province Drop Down” Business Group Setting is turned on all of the interfaces allowing clients to edit the Province/State field will switch between a drop down and a free form text box. If it is a country where our database has a set lookup table of provinces & states such as Canada, US and Australia it should be a drop down, where if it is a country we don’t have a lookup table it will be a free form text box. Panels: Client Editor, Guest Folio, Rez Quote, Online Booking Pages (Mobile & Non-Mobile).

 

New Email Wildcard: Confirmation Emails now have a new wildcard called Security_Deposit_Due available.

 

Zip / Postal – Data Validation – When the new Business level “Zip / Postal Validation” Business Group Settings is turned on all of the interfaces allowing clients to edit the Zip/Postal field will require valid Zip or Postal code from US, Canada, AUS & New Zealand.

 

Phone Number – Data Validation – When the new Business level “Phone Validation” Business Group Setting is turned on all of the interfaces allowing clients to enter phone #’s will require the Australian phone #’s to match the format put forth by NSW.

 

Reverse Deposit Conversion – The system previously used to default to the first payment type in the list.  This process will no longer pre-select a payment type but users will be required to select one.

 

Online Business Reservations – Businesses Clients (Logged in as Wholesaler, Travel Agency or Corporation) can now add a Secondary client to an online reservation. Both Mobile & Non-Mobile versions accommodate this capability.

Note: The Alternate Confirmation number is required when making a booking through this process

 

Marketing Statistics panel – Ability to compare data between two years has been added.

 

App Management – Manage your personal branded app directly from within the reservation system

 

Client Search – Mobile Phone has been added to the export fields from this dialog.

Session Reset – The system will no longer require the user to log out and log back in again when specific preferences are updated from the Business Setup area.

 

Online Mobile – Purchase Products / Services has been added to both Mobile & Non Mobile.

 

Online Check In/Out  –  Users can now set a preference to allow customers to Check In and/or Check Out their reservation through the online booking interface for customers.   This preference can be enabled from within the Online Settings area of the Business Information section.   This capability is available in both Mobile & Non Mobile interfaces.

Note:  Customers with an outstanding deposit due will not be able to Check In and those with an outstanding balance will not be able to check out

Wholesalers Transfer Invoices – Users now have the flexibility to move ALL invoices to the group level. There is a Trf All at the footer of the charges table within the Guest Folio now.

 

Guest Folio – A red asterisk (*) has been added to forced fields. This has been added to the Client fields/custom fields and the rez custom fields only.

Tasks/Notes – An “Export” button has been added to the Client Task/Note List panel as well as the single client dialog.

New Feature: Users will now be able to email a POS email to customers once a email address is available for the customer assigned to the POS

Default Images For Emails –  System Label Manager now has the option to add the Unit and Unit Type default images file URL to the content.

New Feature: The System Label Manager now has the option to add a background image to content. This button is located next to the Styles dropdown in CKeditor.

 

Client History Modification – The Client Reservation History dialog box has been modified to provide additional features and capabilities.  This is access by searching for the client from the Availability Grid and from the Selected Client slider (top right of the grid) click History.   Modifications include:

a) Nights column has been added.

b) Footer provides reservation count & nights count

c) Date range and search filters.

d) Converted to a row click event

 

Bug Fixes

Group payments will now allow reservations to be settled properly even if the overall balance of the group reservation is zero (0)

Once a unit is selected with a lower length than the Unit Type,  it is now validating to make sure the unit length is honored properly.

When adjusting a vehicle on an existing group reservation related to a person when there is no person at the reservation layer the system is crashing.

Cancelled group reservations being doubled in the Online Reservation Services page is fixed.

Member Code for Billing Policy Security Deposits in the Security Deposit section of the Account Review/Ageing panel is now showing.

Cancelled Events appearing highlighted on Grid Date range row is fixed

Guest List button should load only reservations assigned to the types that are within the view that is currently selected.  Default Views for unit and type grid still return all reservations.

Event Setup – A check for duplicate Event labels has been added when users edit an existing event and/or add a new one.

Bug Fix: When reversing a charge that has not been settled it was clearing the unapplied balances and not going through the till tape process. When saving this reservation down the road it is resetting the unapplied balances because of this. I have changed the till tape process when dealing with these reversals so it does insert till tape records recording this so on a future save it will set the unapplied balances correctly.

Bug Fix: Unit Type Image uploader, when setting the default file on an image that is assigned to the all types level should no longer reset all images across all businesses.

Report Bug Fix: Upcoming and Registered should display the accurate balance of each reservation now

Bug Fix: When deleting a map from the map setup any views assigned to the deleted map will be cancelled.

Upcoming Features

(1) Training Academy – A training academy for the RezExpert software will be coming soon.  Users will be able to take courses in regards to the use of the software and its capabilities.  It will provide a multitude of training materials (videos and help help documents) to assist with the training process.  Completion certificates can be achieved and tracking of progress and achievements.

(2) Group Pencil In – There will be a new Pencil In type (e.g Maintenance, Regular) which will distinguish for a Group Pencil In

(3) Home Page Additions –  The Home page will provide quick links to the Training Video archive, Documentation Archive, Gazette and any Featured News

(4)  Warning List on comments-  This will allows users to determine on a reservation if there is a warning list comment associated with the client

(5) Contact for an Account Receivable – Users will be able to enter the contact person for any AR account created.

(6)  AR revenue in the Revenue Statistic panel – The revenue from Reservation Product sales done in the AR of a client will be added to the calculations in the Revenue Statistics panel

(7)  Save Quotes – Users will be able save quotations for packages which will be a combination of reservations and products, thus speeding up the process of applying packages to customers.

(8) Google Maps –  The capability of using the Google map engine to check availability and make reservations based on the geographical location on the map.

(9) Recur Pay additions –  This will allow users to create reoccurring payment policies to charge a customer’s stored tokenized credit card
